The most anticipated t.v. show in recent memory has just moved forward a little bit more. Jon Bernthal has just joined AMC and Frank Darabont’s adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s “The Walking Dead”; for those who know the books, Bernthal will be playing “Shane”, who is the main character’s partner and friend.

The actor was most recently seen in Roman Polanski’s THE GHOST WRITER. He was also in the misbegotten t.v. show “Eastwick” and played “Al Capone” in NIGHT AT THEMUSEUM 2.

“The Walking Dead” chronicles the months and years following a zombie apocalypse and revolves around survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a secure home.
