I’m not on the Felicia Day bandwagon, but I know that the chick is like catnip to internet nerds, so this news should put at least a few of you in pants-around-the-ankles mode. The actress, who has appeared in geek-friendly properties like “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”, “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” and “The Guild”, is getting ready to go werewolf hunting in SyFy’s RED. (This is not to be confused with that other Little Red Riding Hood flick in pre-production.)

In the action-packed Red, Red (Day) brings her fiancé home, where he meets the family and learns about their business – hunting werewolves. He’s skeptical until bitten by a werewolf. When her family insists he must be killed, Red tries saving him.

RED also stars Kavan Smith (Stargate Atlantis) and Stephen McHattie (Watchmen). It’s set to air sometime in 2011.
