Ah, the end of the world. It’ll never get old, will it? The folks behind THE LAST SEVEN hope it won’t, as they’ve got a fairly eerie-looking thriller to release later this year. (No solid date has been announced yet.) There are shades of 28 DAYS LATER and I AM LEGEND, among others here, which is all good, because I’m always game for a good “empty city” mystery.
Directed by first-timer Imran Naqvi, THE LAST SEVEN tells the story of a cataclysmic event that leaves only 7 remaining people on earth and their desperate struggle to understand the events as they are hunted one by one by a powerful demonic power.
The film stars Simon Phillips, Tamer Hassan, Sebastian Street, Daisy Head, Rita Ramnani and Danny Dyer, who seems to be in almost every U.K. horror film nowadays. (He gained the most attention here in the states for his role in SEVERANCE.) Check out the teaser below.
