So simple, so elegant, so damned obvious – how have we not thought of it before?

Via its Twitter page, SyFy Movies has announced its next brilliant concoction: SHARKTOPUS! Let it sink in for a moment… Now consider that it’s being produced by Roger Corman, who has delivered such memorable titles as SUPERGATOR, DINOCROC, and DINOSHARK to our homes in recent years, and you’ve got reason to be very excited for what may be the movie event of 2010.

Via the Twitter page: Just got off the phone with the legendary Roger Corman who’s doing a new movie for us this year. Yes, it’s the long-rumored SHARKTOPUS!

Moments later: Spent half an hour discussing what a sharktopus should look like, how many mouths it should have and how it should kill. That’s my job!

This lucky person better watch their back, cuz I might just be gunning for that job if that’s what it’s all about. I’ve already got a pitch: DINOSHARKTOCROCTOPUS!!!

No cast have been announced yet, but dammit it all, they’d better hurry up cuz I’m already anxious to see this mutha!
