Italy is getting into the 3D game with an adaptation of Henry James’ classic novella “THE TURN OF THE SCREW”, a ghost story that has made the transition to the screen – big and small – many times before, most notably as 1961’s THE INNOCENTS. The flick will be directed by Italian horror vet Marcello Avallone (SPECTERS, MAYA) in English, with cameras set to roll this summer.
Published in 1898, THE TURN OF THE SCREW is told mostly through the journal of a governess and depicts her struggle to save her two young charges from the demonic influence of the eerie apparitions of two former servants in the household.
Film is being produced by Vito Matassino and is expected to have an international cast. Hopefully more details come in soon…
