It could turn out that this isn’t really ARROW IN THE HEAD material, but when I read the words “psychological thriller”, I’m willing to gamble. Plus you throw in some top-shelf names, and we might have something kinda cool on our hands.
Variety reports that Philip Seymour Hoffman and Emily Ziff’s production company Cooper’s Town Productions is developing a psychological thriller titled THE WELL.
Story details are being kept under wraps, but what we do know about THE WELL is that it revolves around a well-to-do Manhattan couple whose obsessive pursuit of salvation ultimately leads to destruction.
Guy Pearce and Mary-Loise Parker (pictured below) will star as the couple for director Tim Guinee, whom is making his debut here (he also wrote the screenplay). Guinee is a long-time actor, mostly appearing on television, but you may remember him as “Father Adam”, James Woods’ sidekick in JOHN CARPENTER’S VAMPIRES.
The project is being shopped to financiers right now. Hopefully we’ll get to the core of this sucker in the near future.
