Now this here sounds like a winner.
Variety is reporting that Korean director Kim Ji-Woon (A TALE OF TWO SISTERS) will be taking the reigns of SAW A DEVIL, a new thriller set to begin filming this February.
The flick already has a terrific one-two punch as far as the leads are concerned. Choi Min-sik (Dae-su Oh himself, the OLDBOY) will be playing a psychopath on the run from a man whose fiance he killed. Playing the vengeful man will be Lee Byung-hun, most recently seen playing “Storm Shadow” in G.I. JOE: RISE OF COBRA. The actor has worked with Kim Ji-Woon before, in the critically acclaimed THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE WEIRD (when the hell is that getting a proper release here in the States?).
And if you can’t picture Choi Min-Sik as a villain, you should check out SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEACE, in which he’s one evil motherf*cker.
No release plan is known yet for this one, but expect it to pop up at a bunch of festivals after its completion.
Another GI JOE star, Sienna Miller
