Riddick crew scouting?

In a short but sweet (?) status update on his Facebook page, The Deez revealed that a new Riddick flick may be closer than we think, saying The Riddick team is in New Zealand location scouting already… that’s exciting.

Back in August, Vin was saying that there were two new Riddick movies proposed, one rated R and one rated PG (?!). At the time, they were still waiting on a David Twohy screenplay…

You can still color me surprised by this continued Riddick movement. The last film did not do very well at all box office-wise ($115 million worldwide against a budget well over $100 million), but that was at a time when we were realizing Diesel wasn’t the next big thing. But he’s enjoying a bit of a resurgence right now, thanks to FAST & FURIOUS possibly revitalizing his lagging career. It remains to be seen, though, if there’s still an appetite for Richard Riddick.
