Trailer for The Torturer

Not to be confused with the famous author (or even actor of the same name), longtime cameraman Graham Green (AT RISK, PHANTOMS) has written and directed a first feature entitled THE TORTURER, starring Nichelle Nichols, Andrew W. Walker, Sophia Choi and Mahsa Masoudi.

Boasting the criminally underutilized tandem of horror and war films, THE TORTURER is more or less about a Military Interrogator who returns from Iraq with Acute Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. As you can guess, the dude gets all kinds of militant on people he probably shouldn’t. At the same time, the flick might be a bit heavy handed in its message of mental or psychological toll the armed forces can elicit.

Also, playing on the ALIEN tagline, THE TORTURER’S one-liner reads: In a post-911 World, No One Can Hear You Scream. Again, a bit of spoon fed commentary perhaps on the alienating damage war can have on a soldier (so says my dime store film theory anyway).

Have a stare at the trailer below, spits some damn bullets and tell us what your thoughts on the film are.
