2nd Alice poster/quad

Just yesterday our man Jared shot you all a glimpse at the highly colorful, wildly imaginative first poster/quad for Tim Burton’s ALICE IN WONDERLAND. He even threw in a supersize-able second photo, which as you can see above, is an altered version of the second official poster/banner for the film.

In this version though, The Mad Hatter is dubiously absent (not entirely, just as seen before), the enlarged mushrooms are cropped, and the whole right side (our left) of Alice’s background is much more focused and apparent, as seen in the hallucinatory flower-faces in the left foreground of the shot.

Trying to spot other differences are about as fun as searching for the hidden drawings in those damn Highlights magazines. Remember those?

Anyway, on to the film. Reuniting with Big John Depp and wife Helena Bonham Carter (seen below), ALICE IN WONDERLAND also stars Mia Wasikowska, Crispin Glover, Anne Hathaway, Stephen Fry, Christopher Lee, Michael Sheen, Alan Rickman, Matt Lucas, Timothy Spall, and Barbra Windsor.

Of course, the movie is based on the series of Lewis Carroll novels, where 19-year-old Alice returns to the magical world from her childhood adventure, where she reunites with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the Red Queen’s reign of terror.

Jump down the rabbit hole with Alice on March 5, 2010.
