Shadow Play trailer

When it comes to TWILIGHT, everybody’s all concerned with Robert Pattinson and the rest of his sour-faced pals, but what about the adults, huh?! Who’s thinking about them?! If you ask me, there was only one decent performance in that whole movie, and it came from Billy Burke, who plays Bella’s cop father. Well, Billy’s got things going on too, you know, and one of them is SHADOW PLAY. (Dig the bloody storyboard above.)

Shadow Play depicts the story of the of Cole Hindin, an overworked and over-medicated cleaning service employee. He finds himself faced with the daunting task of single-handedly servicing a sprawling mansion over the course of a single night. He is plagued by horrific hallucinations, a culmination of many events. He witnessed a gruesome murder-suicide a year earlier, is badly bruised by memories of a failed marriage and strung out on a cocktail of prescription medication. With not nearly enough sleep, Cole struggles to maintain his sanity throughout the night while dealing with Henry, the deranged home owner.

SHADOW PLAY was directed by Nick Simon and co-written by Oz Perkins, who is the son of Anthony Perkins, so you know there’s something disturbing afoot. The other way you know that is the trailer, which is pretty weird, and can be seen below. Aside from Burke, the film stars Perkins, Elliot Gould, Emma Caulfield (fans of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” will remember her as “Anya”), and the amazing Kelly Brook (pictured below).
