Just a couple of days ago we hit you all with a fresh poster for John Hillcoat’s post-apocalyptic father-son story THE ROAD. Well, looks like we have a few more stills to whet our parchment until around Thanksgiving when the film screens (Nov. 25th).
So far every review I’ve seen for the flick is positive, of course with some variance on how great it actually is. No matter, as if I needed extra incentive to watch a flick with Viggo and Charlize, throw in a cannibalistic dystopia and I’m practically spraying my shorts. Too much information?
Also, note that the son in the film, Kodi-Smit McPhee, recently locked the lead role in the American remake of LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, so you know the little tyke’s got chops.
As for Charlize Theron, yeah. Goddess. Can’t wait to see how filthy she, like all her roles of late, looks to get in this thing.
Take a peek at the pics, which look to be a bit brighter (if you can say that in a flick of this ilk), with what looks like either ashen, dense ass fog – or the bitter snow of winter. Either way, Viggo and son look none-too-thrilled.
