The Intervention deets

In addition to the badass poster for Shannon Hile’s inner-demon terror flick THE INTERVENTION, we have good reason to keep an eye out for the actress’ writing/directing debut.

What reasons? Well, THE INTERVENTION not only premiered at the Fangoria Film Festival in May, it’s been officially selected to screen at Fangoria’s 2009 Trinity of Terrors event taking place Oct.30-Nov.1 in Las Vegas.

With such nice support from the horror community, let’s run down the plot shall we.

THE INTERVENTION is the story of eight people who have gathered to intervene in the destructive path of addict, Matt Garret. But as the night wears on, what appears to have been an obvious case of alcoholism reveals itself as demonic possession. The dark entity methodically turns the group against each other, taunting them with their deepest secrets.

Beautiful! There’s nothing like solid psychological terror to counterbalance the gore sodden stalk-&-torture flicks that are so popular these days.

Shot on location in Ojai, California over a scant 18 day period, Hile turned to her actor-hubby Richard Eden (TV’s Robocop) to help pen the script. Alongside Eden in the cast are Dwier Brown, Thomas Crawford, Cynthia Gates Fujikawa, Kamala Lopez, David Orr, Cody McMains, Raymond O’Connor, Scott Paulin, Laurie Prange and the late Patricia Place.

THE INTERVENTION will screen at 2:30 PM on Halloween day, doing so at The Brenden Theaters at The Palms Casino Resort.
