Scary Movie rebooted?

Prepare to go “Huh?” Well, maybe you already did that based on the headline. According to Cinema Blend, The Weinstein Company is planning on making a SCARY MOVIE 5 – which is no great surprise – considering they can’t make much money anywhere else – except for the part where they say it’ll be a “reboot”.

Feel free to “huh?” away… What is there to reboot? The only thing I guess it implies is that Anna Faris will no longer be involved. But if that’s the case, what sets it apart from the DISASTER MOVIE’s of the world? Not that the SCARY MOVIE franchise is any great shakes – it has certainly worn out its welcome for me – but Faris was definitely the least of the series’ problems… Plus, will the general audience really give a f*ck if it’s a “reboot” or simply SCARY MOVIE 5?

The whole thing confuses me. And angers me a little. But then I look at the picture of Anna Faris below and all is well.
