I gotta admit, I’m not really one for these promo gimmicks and ancillary marketing tie-ins that technological advances have afforded. Sure, some of them are cute, like that little one awhile back where you got to toss knives at the hotties from SORORITY ROW. But there’s one that just came out of the SAW VI camp that’s actually pretty legit.
It’s an elaborate interactive game where either you or one of two friends (competitors) gets brutally massacred. Not only do you control your own fate, you get to basically shape who, why and when you get tortured. Which is pretty dope!
You simply enter your name, a picture, your biggest fault in life, and PRESTO – watch Jigsaw call you out by name in his low and menacing voice. Then witness an actual image of yourself, if you’re lucky enough, get savagely butchered.
I tried it, and just sat there with a grin on my face like a 6-year old on his birthday. Don’t know, maybe I’m just a huge dork!
