Killer Klowns screening!

If this were for almost any other flick, it’d be the kind of story I’d sweep under the rug quicker than Mike Jackson’s medical report. As it stands, a pretty kick-ass midnight screening of KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE is going to be held this Friday night, October 2nd.

Courtesy of Insomniac Cinema, a special showing of the 1988 cult-classic can be seen at the Fairfax Cinemas in Los Angeles, California. Introducing the film and taking questions will be the film’s creators Stephen, Edward and Charles Chiodo and star, Grant Kramer.

Oh come on, how can you forget the face-melting Dickies theme song? Or the popcorn shooting guns? Those fuc*ed straws the clowns use to suck human blood out of cotton-candy-like cocoons?

I know I can’t. Not only is KILLER KLOWNS a flick I grew up on, it was shot near my hometown in Santa, Cruz, California (the same city that doubled as Santa Carla in THE LOST BOYS).

For those who haven’t seen the flick (we feel bad for you), it’s an unabashed b-movie about a gaggle of clown-looking aliens who overrun a sleepy little coast-side town. It’s over the top hysterics and epic one liners have kept this flick a much revered it’s-so-bad-it’s good mainstay in the horror genre.

Find it, buy it, rent it, Netflix it, burn, rip it, tube it, steal it – I don’t give a damn – just watch it!
