In a rampant digital age where print is teetering on the brink of obsolescence, it seems a new trend of shooting trailers for upcoming books has been somewhat catching on.
A decent idea I suppose, even if contrary to the whole notion of reading.
In our latest instance, we have director JT PETTY (MIMIC 3: SENTINEL, THE BURROWERS) at the helm of an interesting trailer for his wife Sarah Langan’s new novel “Audrey’s Door.”
Langan, an extolled horror scribe of such titles as “The Keeper”, “Virus” and “The Missing” – sets her newest tale of terror in the antiquated buildings of Manhattan, where a female architect (Audrey) with a marred past takes a beautiful rent-controlled dwelling (a gorgeous Breviary). In perhaps a more sordid past than her own, dark and dastardly truths of the Breviary become unearthed to Audrey in a way that may alter her life forever.
