It’s kind of creepy that 2 flicks featuring a demonic-infant-on-a-kill-crazy-rampage are being released around the same time. Paul Solet’s GRACE hit shelves yesterday, and now Josef Rusnak’s remake of IT’S ALIVE is set for an October 6th DVD delivery.

Starring Bijou Phillips, Skye Bennett, James Murray, Raphael Coleman, Sigal Diamant, Ty Glaser, Arkie Reece and Laura Giosh – IT’S ALIVE is based on the 1974 Larry Cohen original, his script adapted by feature first-timer Paul Sopocy (THUNDERCATS) and James Portolese (UNTIL DEATH).

The flick, whose predecessor is an all-time ‘70s horror staple, sees a college student leave school in order to birth her child. When exponential growth leads to a c-section, the baby delivered turns out to be a blood-parched ghoul looking to fu*k up anything in its wake. It’s then up to the mother to figure out what the hell to do with damn thing. Torch it? Embrace it? Give it to the Octomom, perhaps? The answer’s in the watching!
