Got some ratings updates for ya today – and oh look at that, one of them is NEW MOON… In my last article, I speculated that ECLIPSE would be a PG-13 wimp-fest… Guess what NEW MOON is!
The MPAA has newly christened NEW MOON with a PG-13 for some violence and action. Wow. No minor language? No sexual content? I thought these things were supposed to be romantic?
More interesting to us are THE GRAVES and OPEN GRAVES, and no, they aren’t related. THE GRAVES we’ve been telling you about for a while now, most recently HERE. It just got slapped with an R for bloody violence. Now we’re talking, although I’m surprised that that’s it. Again, where’s the nudity, y’all? (THE GRAVES is part of the next After Dark Horrorfest, which begins January 29th, 2010.)
OPEN GRAVES similarly received an R, for violence, disturbing images, language and brief nudity. The flick, starring Eliza Dushku and Mike Vogel, will be premiering on the SyFy channel soon; however, it’s getting a theatrical run overseas… Let’s just hope that “brief nudity” involves Ms. Eliza…
