I don’t care how much facial hair he grows, Josh Hartnett will never be mistaken for a bad-ass. He’s an okay actor and, to some, a dreamboat (looking at you, Mike C.), but a tough guy who inspires fear? Nah…
That’s not stopping the producers of GUNSLINGER from hiring him to portray a man who, along with his brother, sets out to kill the gang who killed their parents. Their adventure is set in the near future in the snowy wasteland of a post-apocalyptic America.
The flick will be directed by Chris Nahon, who last helmed BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE. It reminds me of THE ROAD meets the upcoming BOOK OF ELI, which I suppose isn’t a bad thing. Remains to be seen if they cast a little cutie like BOOK OF ELI-star Mila Kunis (pictured below).
Filming begins in Canada early next year.
