New Box photo

While I feel as though I’ve seen something similar to this a few times, MTV is claiming it’s an exclusive, new photo, so here ya go. It is, of course, from Richard Kelly’s THE BOX, which opens on NOVEMBER 6th. The movie has moved more times than Michael Jackson’s corpse, but it seems like it’s settled there… At least for now.

In the film, shady Frank Langella shows up at the home of Cameron Diaz and James Marsden, offering them a million dollars for every time they open a mysterious box. The only catch is: someone they “don’t know” dies each time they do so… (In the new photo, looks like they’re dealing with Langella’s gat.)

The idea, based on Richard Matheson’s short story “Button, Button”, was previously adapted for the 1980’s version of “The Twilight Zone” (starring Mare Winningham and helmed by SPECIES II director Peter Medak). It would appear, however, that Kelly has greatly expanded on the previously simple idea.
