At long last, we get a look – well, a tease – at Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon’s THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, which appears like it’s set to defy, and embrace, every infamous horror convention in the book. (And that sounds about right, coming from these guys.) Here are three teaser posters from the mysterious flick, which opens on FEBRUARY 5th, 2010.

Little is known about THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, other than it’s a twisted take on the age-old “young people stranded in a f*cked up cabin” scenario. If you take a look at the OFFICIAL SITE, you can see that they’re obviously paying some homage to that most famous “cabin in the woods” fright film, EVIL DEAD.

The flick stars Chris Hemsworth, Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford, Kristen Connolly, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Jesse Williams and Brian White… Goddard and Whedon last collaborated on several episodes of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel”.
