Twohy’s Perfect cut

David Twohy has been pretty good about updating his blog regarding the status of A PERFECT GETAWAY, his couples-in-peril thriller starring Milla Jovovich and Timothy Olyphant. Most recently, he’s giving us the heads-up that he’s busy preparing and unrated director’s cut for the DVD/Blu-Ray release, which is always cool. May I suggest more nudity? Even if it wasn’t originally filmed…

Here’s what he has to say on the matter: “Also busy doing a “Director’s Cut” of APG for DVD market. I put that in quotes because, since I’m pretty happy with the theatrical cut, this particular version of the movie is really kind of an “Extended Cut” thing: I’ll probably drop 10 minutes of footage back into the movie. The theatrical version is rated “R,” and the Director’s Cut will be unrated, as these things usually are.”

As it stands, the flick is approximately 110 minutes long, so expect the director’s cut to run about 2 hours. That’s just going by what Twohy has been saying on his page…

A PERFECT GETAWAY also stars Steve Zahn, Chris Hemsworth, Kiele Sanchez, and Marley Shelton (pictured below) opens on AUGUST 14th.
