Rebecca Romijn is one of the hottest – and coolest – women on the planet. That’s not even subjective, it’s fact. She’s been in comic-book movies, she’s banging the fat kid from STAND BY ME, she had an unbelievably hot lesbian scene in FEMME FATALE… The woman is a goddess… And also, a witch.
‘Becca (as I like to call her when we chat) has been cast in “EASTWICK”, ABC’s television series based on, obviously, THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK. She’ll play Roxie, the show’s lead character… I’m guessing Roxie will be a semi-quirky single mom who dresses conservatively, bakes cakes, and plays cards with the neighborhood ladies – all the while hiding a sensual, uninhibited tigress who has a secret stash of lingerie and will knock you silly in the sack. You know, the dream MILF.
Romijn joins Lindsay Price, Veronica Cartwright and Jaime Ray Newman. The series still hasn’t found its devilish Daryl Van Horn, but of course we’ll let you know when it does. (Methinks the overall appeal of this cheesefest will rest on that casting decision.) The pilot is being directed by David Nutter, who has basically directed every pilot in the history of television (“The Sarah Connor Chronicles”, “The Mentalist”, “Supernatural”, “Smallville”, just to name a few) as well as the feature film DISTURBING BEHAVIOR.
I’m suddenly very much looking forward to this show… Sue me.
