Doug Jones is Legion

Just the other day I let you know that a ton of actors had joined the apocalyptic thriller LEGION, which will be Scott Stewart’s directorial debut. Film School Rejects is now reporting that there’s one actor attached NOT mentioned in that huge press release: Doug Jones.

Jones is of course a latter-day Lon Chaney, having appeared in flicks like HELLBOY (and its upcoming sequel), FANTASTIC FOUR 2, and most notably, PAN’S LABYRINTH. The site doesn’t say if he’ll be covering himself in pounds of prosthetics or going au naturale.

Jones joins Paul Bettany, Dennis Quaid, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Tenney, Charles S. Dutton , Lucas Black, Kate Walsh, Kevin Durand, Willa Holland, and Adrianne Palicki (sitting pretty, below). The film is about the archangel Michael’s attempt to protect humanity after God loses his patience with us. Yeah, that’s one dude you probably don’t want to piss off.

Jones is currently getting ready to take on the lead role in THE MAKE-UP MAN – a slasher about an actor who goes mad while in a monster costume. Tom Holland is directing the flick, which gets under way in Ontario this May.
