I knew that I wasn’t alone when I said that the RESIDENT EVIL films butchered the only game series I really thoroughly enjoyed. Apparently the Japanese division of Sony Pictures and Capcom felt the same way.
Trying to revitalize the franchise desecrated by the Paul W.S. Anderson films, RESIDENT EVIL will get another feature length treatment, but this time as a 3D CG film based on an original idea. The title as of now is BIOHAZARD: DEGENERATION (BIOHAZARD is the Japanese title of the RESIDENT EVIL games) and is due out sometime in 2008.
As of now, no cast or direct has been announced, but as 2008 approaches I’m sure some names will be dropped before we know it. To read more about BIOHAZARD: DEGENERATION, click here.
