On the heels of DAY WATCH’s release today comes word of another ambitious vampire flick, PERFECT CREATURE, which is already in the can and ready to roll out. It stars Dougray Scott (MISSION IMPOSSIBLE II), STUART WILSON (who plays great baddies in NO ESCAPE and LETHAL WEAPON 3) and the sexy Saffron Burrows (TROY, DEEP BLUE SEA).
Below is the official plot synopsis:
Three centuries ago, human genetic experimentation gave rise to an advanced species known as the Brotherhood. These superior beings lived in harmony with mankind, protecting them from disease while relying on them for sustenance. But now the fragile balance between man and vampire is threatened when Brother Silus (Dougray Scott) learns that one of his own kind has unleashed a deadly virus that is killing off humans…and wiping out any chance for a peaceful coexistence.
The flick comes from Fox Home Entertainment, and is said to be done in the style of a 60s thriller, which sounds like a pretty unique approach considering the plot. The DVD will come loaded with making-of goodies, always fun.
PERFECT CREATURE hits the streets running July 17th.
