BARBARELLA! Dun dun DUNNNN!!!
Days after word circulated that Rodriguez was considering helming THE JETSONS (c’mon, the freakin Jetsons for cryin’ out loud?!), comes the news that the man who made Freddy Rodriguez look like a badass will be reworking the kitschy classic (?) for original producer Dino De Laurentiis, who said, “In our vision, the future is female, and I can’t wait to introduce ‘Barbarella’ to a new generation of moviegoers.”
Rodriguez will join frequent James Bond scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade in working on the screenplay immediately.
Gee, I wonder who Robert’s first choice would be for the role… I have absolutely no idea who he might be consider- wait! Would it be his current squeeze, Rose McGowan?! Nah, how likely would that be?
