Earlier today cosmonaut turned
tennis pro Ammon spoke
here about a new
zombie flick coming out from the land down under, and now we have another
heads-up about some more horror from the folks of Australia.
Being credited as
“the most terrifying film ever made”, the new film
is called THE HAUNTING OF HELL’S GATE
and it really does seem like it will be a completely scary mind f**k.
The
film follows a group of teens who wander into an old abandoned slaughterhouse
which was rumored to be inhabited by a poltergeist. Finally after years of
living in fear of what happened that night, the teens can finally talk about
what happened.
It
seems to me like a sort of Australian version of
THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, and I’m not sure why but for whatever reason
calling it a poltergeist instead of a ghost makes it all the scarier.
The
flick is written and directed by Australian horror master Ian James Colmer, who
worked on other genre pieces like
HOUSE OF WAX and
SEE NO EVIL. Filming is set to start in May/June of this summer at
the actual Hell’s Gate which is located in Australia. As in it’s a real place,
and apparently is so creepy in real life that when people enter, sometimes a
little fear pee comes out.
To

you can check out the official site
here that has some
really creepy preliminary photo’s that make me think that this film will be a
winner.
