28 weeks poster

I know a lot of people will disagree with me on
this, but I’ve always thought that
28
DAYS LATER
helped to reenergize the zombie movie genre. I know it’s
not really a zombie movie per se, but it does seem like everyone and their
brother started making zombie movies after this came out. (And I mean this not
as a complaint, but as praise, because I not only love zombies, but I love bad
zombie movies even more!)

With that said I’m actually looking forward to
seeing the sequel to 28
DAYS LATER
, which is cleverly titled 28 WEEKS LATER. The film
is about the attempt at re-entering Britain after the disease has been declared
“wiped out”. Unfortunately it seems that the disease is in fact quite present.

I’m not typically a guy who enjoys sequels that
are made only because the first film does so well, but after seeing the sneak
peak at the trailer

here
, and the kick-ass new poster seen above, I
must say that I’m pretty stoked to see this.

The official trailer for 28 WEEKS LATER
will hit theatres on Friday before THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2, and will be
hitting theatre’s itself May 11th.
