at SCREAM FEST 07!
But what’s this Scream Fest that everyone seems
to be talking about around the water cooler? Well let me tell you about it!
Scream Fest is simply a venue where horror and
sci-fi film creators can showcase there work and hope to gain distribution. In
the past Scream Fest has helped launch several careers in the genre (seen
here)
and is basically just a great excuse to showcase your work and see some great
films.
And even if you haven’t made your masterpiece
yet, you can do what I’m going to do and simply submit a screenplay. Who knows,
maybe someone will like it so much you’ll be hired on the spot to remake several
horror films from the 70s and 80s.
Seriously though, for all you aspiring
filmmakers, this is a great opportunity. Someone once said ‘Fortune favors the
bold’, so be bold and submit your work. You can’t win unless you enter!
