Dreams of Gordon’s DVD

Some rather interesting news today concerning Anchor Bay’s plans for the DVD release of Showtime’s MASTERS OF HORROR series.

TVShowsOnDVD reports that for Stuart Gordon’s Dreams in the Witch House episode (which will be released March 28th along with John Carpenter’s Cigarette Burns episode), Anchor Bay has stuffed the disc to the gills. For the Witch House DVD, here’s what’s expected:

  • “Dreams, Darkness and Damnation: An Interview with Stuart Gordon”
  • Behind The Scenes: The Making of Dreams in the Witch House
  • SFX: Meet Brown Jenkin
  • Audio commentary by writer/director Stuart Gordon, Actor Ezra Godden and DVD Producer Perry Martin
  • Trailers
  • Still Gallery
  • Storyboard Gallery
  • Stuart Gordon Bio
  • DVD-ROM Content: Original Screenplay, “Dreams in the Witch House” by H.P. Lovecraft, Screensavers

Damn, that’s a lot of stuff! Hopefully the other episodes get the same treatment, if not more. As for Carpenter’s episode, the only extra known so far are commentary tracks from both of the episode’s writers. Here’s hoping Anchor Bay does the smart thing and give us one of Carpenter’s specialties (the commentary track, for those not with it). No artwork as of yet, so stay tuned as always.
