Not even one week removed from its premiere, the final season of Outer Banks finds itself atop the Netflix TV charts. It should be no surprise, as the series latched onto audiences during the pandemic and has been a steady success for the streaming service. But now that it’s coming to a close (with a prequel series in the works), you have to assume that Netflix is going to be sure to keep this cast busy with other projects. I chatted with the guys of Outer Banks: Chase Stokes, Drew Starkey, and Jonathan Daviss about the show coming to an end. Having played these characters for 6+ years, I was curious as to what lessons they’ve learned, whether it’s what to do or not to do in a given situation. And just like the girls, they get into their favorite locations that they’ve filmed the show (as well as where they’ll be going back to as a group vacation). Outer Banks: The Final Season plot:
Season 5 finds the Pogues at their absolute breaking point following the tragic loss of JJ in Morocco. Stranded far from home and mourning the heart of their crew, they’ve lost the Blue Crown and continue to face a gauntlet of familiar threats. With Chandler Groff still at large, Dalia and the Corsairs closing in, and the Kooks ensuring the Pogues have no home to return to, John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, and Cleo must rely on their scrappy instincts—and an uneasy alliance with Rafe—to keep from falling apart for good. Their mission is now a desperate race to reclaim their future and finally win the freedom they’ve been chasing since the beginning.
