Joe Lynch is one of the directors working on Creepshow season 2 for Shudder

Judging by how often I see people make references to it, director Joe Lynch's MAYHEM (watch it HERE) may be one of the most popular movies on the Shudder streaming service – so it's very cool that Lynch has been hired to work on the second season of Shudder's anthology series Creepshow, which continues the franchise George A. Romero and Stephen King started with the classic 1982 film of the same name (you can watch that one HERE).

Lynch revealed his involvement with Creepshow on his Twitter account, sending out this image:

The first season of Creepshow had a great line-up of directors, including the show's creative supervisor Greg Nicotero (who visited the set of the original CREEPSHOW and worked in the FX department on CREEPSHOW 2), horror regulars David Bruckner and Roxanne Benjamin, comedy regular Rob Schrab, original CREEPSHOW composer John Harrison, and FX legend Tom Savini. So far Nicotero and Lynch are the only directors confirmed for the second season.

Each episode of Creepshow consists of two separate stories. So even though the first season only had six episodes, we got twelve stories out of it.

Shudder has revealed

initial details about four of (season 2's) segments, which will be directed by Nicotero. Anna Camp and Adam Pally will star in “Shapeshifters Anonymous” Parts 1 and 2, written by Nicotero, based on a short story by J.A. Konrath (Last Call) about an unlucky soul who finds himself in need of a werewolf support group; Josh McDermitt, Ashley Laurence and Keith David will star in “Pesticide,” written by Frank Dietz (I Hate Kids), in which an exterminator makes an infernal bargain; and “Model Kid,” written by returning Creepshow writer John Esposito (season one’s “Night of the Paw”), is about a 12-year-old monster fan who turns to hand-built model kits to escape his unhappy reality. Additional titles and casting will be announced soon.

Creepshow season 2 is expected to reach Shudder sometime in 2021.
