The titular puppy from Netflix’s Scooby-Doo: Origins was finally revealed with a resounding “Aww” from audiences. The streamer revealed the live-action dog in a new teaser trailer and picture a few months ago. For the first time, the famously scared K-9 will be played by a real Great Dane and Deadline has reported that the first season of Scooby-Doo: Origins has wrapped filming and the show has commemorated the event with a new picture of the pup! Ruh roh! Netflix has been teasing some quick new peeks at their prequel, Scooby-Doo: Origins, as the production rolled in the Mystery Machine in Atlanta. The cast list includes Mckenna Grace as “Daphne Blake,” Tanner Hagen as “Shaggy Rogers,” Abby Ryder Fortson as “Velma Dinkley,” Maxwell Jenkins as “Fred Jones” and Paul Walter Hauser in an unknown role. Additional cast includes Rusty Schwimmer, Peter Macon, Jona Xiao, Dani Deetté, Elysée Sanvillé, Alex Isles, Avery Kristen Pohl, Pamela Mitchell, Ross Kimball, Sara Gilbert, Wynn Everett, Sauriyan Sapkota, Bruce McGill, André Benjamin and Cathy Moriarity.
The logline reads, “A modern reimagining of the iconic mystery-solving group of teens and their very special dog. During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder. Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange, but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets.”

Josh Appelbaum, Scott Rosenberg (via Midnight Radio) (High Fidelity, Everything Sucks!) are on board as the showrunners, executive producers and writers of the series. The other executive producers on the project include Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman (via Berlanti Productions and its overall deal with Warner Bros. Television), André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Adrienne Erickson (via Midnight Radio), Toby Haynes (EP/Episode 101 Director).
