When The Arrow shared the trailer for director Matt Reeves' upcoming take on THE BATMAN last month, he described it as "Batman goes the SE7EN way" (you can watch SE7EN at THIS LINK), since it appears to be a very dark film with a version of The Riddler who murders people and leaves creepy messages for Batman and the authorities. The SE7EN vibe was so strong in that trailer, YouTuber Burns Reviews was inspired to cut together a new trailer for SE7EN, in the style of THE BATMAN trailer.

That trailer can be seen above, and embedded below is a video that offers a side-by-side comparison of THE BATMAN's trailer and Burns' SE7EN trailer.

Released in 1995, SE7EN was directed by David Fincher from a screenplay by Andrew Kevin Walker. The film has the following synopsis:

When retiring police Detective William Somerset (Morgan Freeman) tackles a final case with the aid of newly transferred David Mills (Brad Pitt), they discover a number of elaborate and grizzly murders. They soon realize they are dealing with a serial killer (Kevin Spacey) who is targeting people he thinks represent one of the seven deadly sins. Somerset also befriends Mills' wife, Tracy (Gwyneth Paltrow), who is pregnant and afraid to raise her child in the crime-riddled city.

Directed by Reeves from a script he has written by Peter Craig, THE BATMAN stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon. The film is scheduled to reach theatres on October 1, 2021.
