Sony releases 25-minute State of Play for The Last of Us Part II

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

A couple days ago, Sony set up an over 20-minute "State of Play", that showed off tons of gameplay footage for the highly-anticipated survival-horror game THE LAST OF US PART II by Naughty Dog Studios. It was narrated by the game's director Neil Druckmann, and you can watch it now in the embed at the top of the article!

Here's the official synopsis:

Set five years after the events of The Last of Us (2013), players enter the role of 19-year-old Ellie, who comes into conflict with a mysterious Christian cult in a post-apocalyptic United States. The game contains survival horror elements and is played from the third-person perspective. Players can use firearms, improvised weapons, and stealth to defend against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures infected by a mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus.

Meanwhile, THE LAST OF US PART II will be coming to PS4 June 19th.

So what do you guys think? Fans of the original? If so, you excited for the sequel? Either way, sound off below?
