On a slow ass news Friday (movie news anyway…global news is pretty damn dispiriting), why not throw a little love to a gritty looking low-budget horror joint? Sounds good, right?!?

So we just ran into a film called DEVIL’S BRIDGE, from writer/director Chris Crow. We not only have an intriguing synopsis for the Welsh horror effort, we have a nasty, obscenity laced teaser for you to give a gander as well. I hope you like your dirt farmers with lesions and a foul tongue…

Starring Caroline Berry, Martyn Ellis, Katie Hemming, Michael Jibson and Gary Mavers – DEVIL’S BRIDGE picks up when:

Sean takes his two friends into the rural wilds of Wales in search of an underworld specialist who can illegally revive his failing business. Deep in alien, isolated territory, they accidentally cross William Parry, a broken and desperate farmer dangerously hateful and paranoid of all around him. The situation spins rapidly out of control, spiraling into a horrific Heart of Darkness spree of pointless violence and revenge as Parry hunts the three friends across the stark and unforgiving terrain.

Kind of reminds me of WOLF CREEK, a movie I enjoyed quite a bit. Give the trailer a run and see what you think…

No release date for DEVIL’S BRIDGE is currently known, but give the Official Site for the film a whirl for more.

Miss Wales 2010, Courtney Hamilton!
