A deadly change of heart leads to disaster in new Chambers TV series trailer

Netflix has debuted a terrifying new trailer for their upcoming horror series CHAMBERS starring Quentin Tarantino film veteran Uma Thurman. Created and executive produced by Leah Rachel with Alfonso Gomez, CHAMBERS tells the story of a young heart attack survivor, who becomes consumed by the mystery surrounding the heart that saved her life. However, the closer she gets to uncovering the truth about her donor's sudden death, the more she starts taking on the characteristics of the deceased — some of which are troublingly sinister.

Recently when talking about her new show, Rachel said: “Taking place in a mystic, New Age pocket of Arizona, Chambers is a psychological horror story that explores the different ways we metabolize trauma. But what starts out as a grounded human story eventually pivots into something far more strange and fucked up than you were expecting.”

The series stars Uma Thurman (KILL BILL, PULP FICTION), Tony Goldwyn (SCANDAL, INSURGENT), Sivan Alyra Rose (THE ENTRADA, RUNNING SHADOW), Lilliya Reid (VIENNA, THE PHANTOMES), Nicholas Galitzine (THE BEAT BENEATH MY FEET, THE CHANGEOVER), Kyanna Simone Simpson (WHITE BOY RICK, BLACK LIGHTNING), Lilli Kay (PATERNO, MADAM SECRETARY), Sarah Mezzanotte (BLUE BLOODS, SEARCH PARTY) and will introduce Griffin Powell-Arcand. Meanwhile, Winnie Kemp, Wolfgang Hammer, Jennifer Yale, and Steve Gaghan will produce.

Speaking as someone who has survived two open-heart surgeries, I have to admit that this trailer is creeping me the hell out. In fact, there's a chance that I might require a heart transplant down the road, and now I have even more reservations about pulling that trigger. Be that as it may, CHAMBERS looks to be taking the swapping of body parts horror premise to disturbing new heights, by adding elements of mania, hallucinations, and is that some strange cult activity I see? Despite my reservations about watching a series that hits so close to home, I'm totally on board to never look at my zipper scar the same way again after watching this one.

CHAMBERS will open its heart to Netflix subcribers on April 26.
