DVDActive reported on Monday that David Cronenberg’s latest effort, A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, is heading to DVD February 28th of next year.

The film, starring Viggo Mortensen, Maria Bello, Ed Harris and William Hurt will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with both English Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 Surround tracks. Extras will include:

  • feature commentary by director David Cronenberg
  • a deleted scene with commentary by director David Cronenberg
  • an Acts of Violence documentary
  • a Violence’s History: United States Version vs. International Version featurette
  • an Unmaking of Scene 44 featurette
  • a Too Commercial for Cannes featurette
  • theatrical trailer

Quite a bit of stuff from New Line, considering the film was released with little fanfare. Good going, Mike DeLuca! Give me more! Here’s the Region 1 artwork, by the way.
