This should come as no surprise considering every classic character from the horror genre seems to be finding a home on TV these days. Now, it looks like ABC is poised to remake one of the most beloved and successful musicals of all time in a “Phantom of the Opera” series, reports THR. The network is reteaming with “Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry for the adaptation. The project, which received a script commitment from the network, is described as a drama with musical elements in the same vein of ABC's “Nashville”, so I’m not sure how along the lines of horror this one will really be.
