Haim gets a beat down!

Who hasn’t once dreamed of seeing a sexy Amy Smart beat the ever-loving shit out of a platinum blond-mulleted Corey Haim in their lifetime? NO ONE, that’s who. Lucky for you, we here at AITH make dreams come true, so we bring you (with a little help from our buds at JoBlo.com) a brief but very sweet clip of exactly what I just described! Naturally the clip is from CRANK: HIGH VOLTAGE, which hits theaters later this month. Feast your eyes!

NOTE: I know Haim is a major f*ck-up and all, but he looks pretty funny in this!

Two more EXPENDABLES sign up

Well what do you know, another Action Round-Up, another couple of news-bites regarding THE EXPENDABLES! Sylvester Stallone’s action-adventure is now shooting in Brazil and a few photos from the set have hit the web (to see the whole batch, click right HERE)…

In addition, the flick – which already boasts a rather large cast – apparently isn’t done bringing new faces into the fold. Just today, it was announced that Brittany Murphy (SIN CITY) and David Zayas (“Dexter”) have joined the cast. (Both are pictured below.)

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy will play Mickey Rourke’s girlfriend, a singer. The part calls for her to perform a musical number… Zayas will play the dictator that Sly’s crew aims to take down (with, I assume, extreme prejudice).

I’m not much of a Brittany Murphy fan (aside from her rump, which we can stare at below), but the cast is already so stocked with badassery that I won’t let her casting bother me. Besides, I’m assuming she’s just there to show us her assets and not her – ahem – acting prowess… THE EXPENDABLES hits theaters on APRIL 23, 2010.

New FIGHTING stills

I know it’s a slow action newsweek when I find myself pimping this shite. Now I’m not one to judge a book by its cover, but let’s be honest, this FIGHTING business – besides having the lamest title in recent memory – looks like weaksauce. I’m not on its premise, not sold on its delivery, and I’m certainly not sold on its lead, Channing Tatum, who will be more familiar to the masses by the time G.I. JOE rolls out in August. Chicks apparently dig him, but the dude is just too much of a boy to be a tough guy.

Here’s the official line on the flick, which hits theaters on APRIL 24th.: Starring Channing Tatum and Oscar®-nominated actor Terrence Howard, FIGHTING tells the story of Shawn MacArthur (Channing Tatum), a small-town boy who has come to New York City with nothing but a dark past. When scam artist Harvey Boarden (Terrence Howard) offers Shawn help at making real cash by streetfighting, the two form an uneasy partnership.

Shawn and Harvey both find success, but there’s also struggle — for brotherhood, survival, and respect both in and out of the streetfighting ring. Their world involves the corrupt bare-knuckle circuit, where rich men bet on disposable pawns. If Shawn ever hopes to escape the dark world in which he’s found himself, he must now face the toughest fight of his life.

Sounds super dramatic, y’all!!

The “Chuck” Van!!

This isn’t true “action news”, but f*ck it, it’s still good stuff!

Our fearless leader John “The Arrow” Fallon is in Australia right now and happened upon what must be the coolest goddamned vehicle in modern times: The Chuck (Norris that is) Van. (Well, that’s what we’ve dubbed it – seriously, what the hell else are we going to call the thing?) As you can see, it’s simply a miracle of ingenuity, determination, and just not giving a f*ck. Sorta like the man it’s dedicated to.

In that man’s honor, The Arrow will be reviewing MISSING IN ACTION 2 & 3 in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for the next REEL ACTION, bub!

KILL YA NEXT WEEK WITH MORE
