You see according to Adam Green’s Twitter, which is as solid a confirmation as you’re going to get, it’s been announced that HATCHET 2 will be pulled from US theaters as well. Major bummer! This news comes off a disappointing opening weekend that scored the flick about $62k, though it only opened in 68 theaters. Come on… cut the thing a break man! Scope out Green’s ‘tweet:’
“To those asking: Yes, Hatchet II UNRATED has been pulled from US theaters. Press release coming tomorrow when we have the full details. ”
Not only is this a hard shot to HATCHET 2, but it’s definiately a step back for the genre as a whole. It seems things were going very well when the flick was hitting theaters Unrated but my oh my how things change.
