Variety is reporting that Adrianne Palicki has signed on as the female lead in COFFEE TOWN, the first film from humor site CollegeHumor. As befitting the site it will be an R-rated comedy, written and directed by Brad Copeland (“Arrested Development”) in his feature film debut. The film will star Glenn Howerton, best known as Dennis from “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia”, and be about three thirty-something friends who band together when their freeloading existence is threatened.

Palicki will play Becca, a coffee-loving nurse who Howerton’s character has a crush on.

She’s a great actress but I haven’t seen her in any comedies, so it will be interesting to see her compete with Howerton, who’s absolutely hysterical in “Always Sunny.” (Particularly that last season, which has taken some truly dark turns). Hoping this is his breakout role, much like his coworker Charlie Day had with HORRIBLE BOSSES last year.

Ricky Van Veen is producing and Ben Schwartz, Steve Little and Josh Groban will co-star, with production set to begin next week in LA.

Palicki will appear next in G.I. JOE: RETALIATION as Lady Jaye, and then fight some more in the upcoming RED DAWN remake with Chris Hemsworth.
