Alfre Woodard gets Haunted for Fresnadillo and Spielberg

Alfre Woodard

Alfre Woodard is the first cast member to join HAUNTED, a supernatural horror project coming to us from director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 WEEKS LATER), producer Steven Spielberg (POLTERGEIST), and screenwriters Chad and Carey Hayes (THE CONJURING, THE CONJURING 2).

An adaptation of the Henry James novel Turn of the Screw, a story that was previously turned into the 1961 film THE INNOCENTS (among many other adaptations), HAUNTED centers on

a young woman who starts to work at a wealthy estate that she soon realizes is haunted. She believes that the children may be possessed and begins to fear for her life.

Always a welcome presence in a film, Woodard will be playing a character who works at the mansion.

This won't be the actress's first brush with supernatural forces, and here's hoping that HAUNTED will be an improvement over her previous ghostly/demonic experience, ANNABELLE.
