We got our hands on the super creepy poster for THE DIABOLICAL back at the tail end of October and now we've got a pretty face to go along with it! Deadline reports that Ali Larter (pictured; RESIDENT EVIL) is set to lead the horror pic THE DIABOLICAL, from Preferred Film & TV. She’ll play Madison, a single mother who with her children is awoken nightly by an increasingly strange and intense presence. She seeks help from her scientist boyfriend Nikolai, who begins a hunt to destroy the violent spirit that paranormal experts are too frightened to take on. Her boyfriend is a scientist that hunts evil spirits, and his name is Nikolai? Official badass right there!

THE DIABOLICAL follows Madison and her children in their quiet suburban home as they are awoken nightly by an increasingly strange and intense presence. Madison desperately seeks help from her scientist boyfriend Nikolai, who begins a hunt to destroy the violent spirit that paranormal experts are too frightened to undertake.

This will mark the directorial debut of Alistair Legrand, who is directing a script he co-wrote with Luke Harvis. Preferred Film & TV’s Ross Dinerstein is producing. Content Media Corp (CMC) is backing the project and will rep N.A. rights with Preferred Content while CMC’s Jamie Carmichael sells international. Filming begins in February 2014.
