Director Adam Shankman and star Queen Latifah will reteam for the second time on the upcoming New Line remake of the Steve Martin comedy ALL OF ME. The 1984 film followed Martin as an attorney whose body gets possessed by the spirit of a dead heiress (Lily Tomlin). It’s believed that Latifah will reprise the Tomlin role while the studio will find a strong comic lead to replace Martin. How do you replace Steve Martin? Talk about tough shoes to fill. Just please don’t try and do it with Dane Cook. I’m begging you. Latifah previously worked with Shankman on the upcoming HAIRSPRAY and with Martin himself on BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE. The actress is currently filming MAD MONEY with Katie Holmes and Diane Keaton. It’s unclear when filming on ALL OF ME would begin.
