Amber Heard reportedly signs a deal for a tell-all book about her marriage to Johnny Depp

The Amber Heard and Johnny Depp saga isn’t going to be over anytime soon, and a book could even be on the way about the matter. As the dust settles on the defamation trial which represented a bit of a loss for Heard, the actress has reportedly signed a very lucrative deal for a tell-all book about her turbulent marriage to Johnny Depp.

According to OK! Magazine, Heard could be in the works on signing a multi-million dollar deal to write a tell-all book because she’s “not in a position to turn down money.” Per an unnamed source for the story, the actress is aware that she most likely won’t be getting any high-profile roles in the near future like Mera in Aquaman so a book might be a viable career move. As they put it, “Amber considers her career in Hollywood over. She’s already in talks and is excited about it. At this point, she has nothing to lose and wants to tell all.”

The book move would make sense if Johnny Depp pushes collecting the $10.35 million awarded to him in damages from Heard. The jury sided heavily with Depp that the actress has defamed her ex-husband with “false and defamatory” allegations. Heard was awarded $2 million because the jury decided that Depp was liable for defaming the actress because of statements made by his former attorney Adam Waldman. Despite that “win”, Heard’s attorney has previously stated that her client simply cannot pay the amount because it’s so high. A big tell-all book and publicity tour would certainly add some money to the bank.

I would assume that Amber Heard would have to be VERY careful if she did go through with this, however. If she details how Depp allegedly abused her, she could find herself in court for defaming him again. The Washington Post op-ed that she wrote in 2018 was at the center of this defamation case and she didn’t even mention the actor by name. A book would be especially more telling so it could be a very risky move.

Do YOU think Amber Heard should write a tell-all book about Johnny Depp?
