Scorching hot vixen Amber Heard along with “The Closer” star Jon Tenney have joined the cast of Screen Gems’ upcoming horror THE STEPFATHER, a remake of the 1987 film of the same name. Under director Nelson McCormick from a script by J.S. Cardone, the film centers on a murderous sociopath (“Nip/Tuck” jittery plastic surgeon Dylan Walsh) who insinuates himself into families as the titular figure and then proceeds to eliminate them when they don’t measure up. Sela Ward had been previously cast as the woman who falls prey to Walsh’s deceiving charms with Penn Badgley playing her son and Tenney playing Badgley’s father (and Ward’s ex-husband). Heard will play Badgley’s scrumptious girlfriend. She can next be seen alongside Seth Rogen and James Franco in the stoner actioner THE PINEAPPLE EXPRESS and will hopefully be seen sometime this century in the horror thriller ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE.
