American Horror Story: Freak Show adds Jyoti Amge to cast

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Just a few days after learning that FX's "American Horror Story" had added Finn Wittrock and legendary songstress Patti LaBelle to the fourth season of the show, we've now learned that the World's Smallest Woman is also set to play a part in the "Freak Show".

Ryan Murphy took to Twitter to announce the newest, and smallest, cast member of "American Horror Story: Freak Show", the world’s shortest woman, Jyoti Amge.

The Indian-born Amge is 20 and just over 2 feet tall. She is considered the world’s shortest woman by both the Guiness and Limca books of world records. Amge is not a newcomer to entertainment, however, having appeared both in a 2009 documentary about her called BODY SHOCK and on an Indian reality TV show that’s somewhat similar to "Big Brother".

Amge joins impressive season 3 newcomers Michael Chiklis, John Carroll Lynch, Wes Bently, Patti LaBelle, and Finn Wittrock. They in turn join series regulars Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson, Gabourey Sidibe, Evan Peters and others.

In perhaps the best storyline yet, here's the logline for AHS: Freak Show:

Set in Jupiter, Florida in 1950, Jessica Lange plays a German ex-pat who in charge of managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S.

The "Freak Show" opens in October on FX.
